Northmont stopped a two-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter and turned back visiting Fairmont 20-18 on Friday night. Chris Rhoades scored on a 3-yard run to pull the Firebirds to within two points before the defensive stand.

Cameron Belton threw for 146 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 68 yards for the Thunderbolts (3-5, 1-2 GWOC Central). Gaven Kennerly added 106 yards rushing and two TDs.

Rhoades gained 90 yards to lead Fairmont (2-6, 0-3).

Beavercreek 13, Springfield 0: Fullback Zach Smith carried 36 times for 229 yards to help the Beavers (5-3, 2-1 GWOC Central) control the clock and shut out host Springfield (2-6, 1-2).

Seven Springfield players — including starting quarterback Chris Wallace — were suspended for the game.

Springboro 31, Miamisburg 7: The Panthers (2-6, 1-1 GWOC South) trailed 7-0 at halftime before scoring all of their points in the second half to record a road win. Josh Little threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns. Miamisburg fell to 2-6, 0-3.

Piqua 75, Sidney 14: The Indians (4-4, 1-2 GWOC North) rushed for 269 yards, 104 coming from Jon Dembski. Ten Piqua players scored touchdowns.

Milton-Union 28, Dixie 18: Jacob Finfrock ran for three touchdowns, including an 85-yard score in the fourth quarter to lead the Greyhounds (7-1, 4-0 SWBL Buckeye) past Dixie (3-5, 2-2).

Waynesville 69, Northridge 12: Luke Creditt had three touchdown passes and a TD run in the first half as the Spartans (8-0, 2-0 SWBL Buckeye) rolled to a victory at Northridge (0-8, 0-5).

Bellbrook 28, Brookville 7: Alex Oldham rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns, including runs of 35 and 44 yards, as the Golden Eagles (4-4, 3-1 SWBL Southwestern) won at Brookville (6-2, 2-2). Bellbrook quarterback P.J. Eckley carried 18 times for 120 yards and threw a 63-yard TD pass to Thomas Crute.

TC North 41, TV South 6: Tri-County North built a 27-0 halftime lead and improved to 6-2, 6-1 in the Cross County Conference. Austin Hutchins returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown.

Marion Local 7, Coldwater 0: Adam Bertke had the only touchdown in this MAC showdown, scoring on a 5-yard run in the third quarter at Maria Stein. Bertke led the Flyers (7-1, 6-0) with 106 yards rushing. Marion Local held Coldwater (6-2, 5-1) to 42 yards rushing and the Cavaliers had three turnovers.

Carlisle 40, Valley View 21: Ryan McLaughlin carried 25 times for 153 yards and a touchdown and Levi Boyer threw two TD passes to lead Carlisle (4-4). Alex Leach accounted for three scores. For Valley View (2-6), Kenny Duff (114) and Tyler Schenck (113) both rushed for more than 100 yards.

Dayton Christian 70, Riverside 13: Heath Harding carried nine times for 148 yards and four touchdowns and also had a TD reception for DC (7-1).

Dunbar 19, Taft 2: Jarrod Clements recovered a fumble for a touchdown and D’Gary Wallace carried 18 times for 135 yards to lift Dunbar (5-3) past Taft (5-3).

Indpls. Cathedral 26, Moeller 24: Moeller, Ohio’s top-ranked Division I team, took the lead with 13 seconds to play, but visiting Cathedral (6-3) completed a long pass and kicked a 40-yard field goal as time expired.
