A plan for four dugouts at the Tipp City schools’ baseball and softball fields was approved unanimously Jan. 10 by the Planning Board.
Some of the dugouts and a backstop were damaged in the September windstorm.
The project also includes construction of a press box and concession stands at the softball fields.
Gary Pfister, Tipp City schools director of services, said the dugouts will have knee walls instead of fencing.
The school board awarded a contract for the replacement and improvement project for $204,000 to Brumbaugh Construction of Arcanum. The work is expected to be finished by mid-March.
