Host Beavercreek edged Wayne 52-51 in a double-overtime girls basketball thriller Saturday.
Jaycey Hardenstein paced the Beavers with 18 points, including four fourth-quarter baskets, to fuel a second-half Creek rally that sent the game into overtime.
Alli Hull scored seven of her nine points in OT for Creek.
Wayne was led by Danie Shafer with 21 points and Victoria Wabler with 14.
The teams went back and forth in the first and second overtimes. Beavercreek had a chance to seal the game at the foul line but a miss gave Wayne a desperation shot at the buzzer, which fell short.
Beavercreek improved to 3-2 (1-1 GWOC Central); Wayne fell to 3-3 (0-2).
