Keith Wenning’s 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth overtime gave Coldwater a 47-41 win over St. Henry in a Division V high school football regional final Friday, Nov. 20, at Wapakoneta.
Coldwater took advantage after St. Henry missed a field goal in its first possession.
St. Henry led 21-7 with eight minutes left in the fourth quarter, but Coldwater rallied with two touchdowns, the last coming with 50 seconds left to put the game into overtime.
The two teams are rivals in the Midwest Athletic Conference and located nearby in Mercer County. St. Henry hasn’t defeated Coldwater since an overtime victory in 1996.
It was Coldwater’s second win over a MAC foe in two weeks — the Cavaliers defeated Anna 28-21 in overtime last week.
Cin. Wyoming 14, Shawnee 7: Spencer Herbst’s 64-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Seyfried in the fourth quarter was the game winner.
Shawnee tied the game with 8:24 left in the fourth with a 1-yard run by Eric DeWitt. The score was set up by a 41-yard pass to Xavier Jordan from Evan Storts.
Seyfried passed for 246 yards as Wyoming out-gained Shawnee 337-191.

Coldwater and Alter have 2 of the greatest programs in the entire state. I graduated from Coldwater many years ago and now live in Washington Township.
Go Cavs win state.

Everybody knows that Coldwater is a closet "Catholic" school and they should be forced to play at a higher level.
