MIAMI — Swingman and Dunbar High School grad Daequan Cook missed the Heat’s game against Phoenix on Tuesday because of problems with his strained right shoulder.

Cook said he’ll also miss Miami’s game today at Washington, adding that he was “very worried” that the injury wasn’t getting better.

He shot 1-for-9 in Miami’s win at Indiana on Friday, trying to play through the injury, and hasn’t been on the court since.

Best wishes in rehab to heal that wet jumper. Hope he can make it back in time to defend his 3 point title.

All you can do is not rush back. The bad thing is, when it comes to knee or shoulder injuries your going to keep re-injuring it until you deside to stop playing.
