If Coldwater wants to get to the state semifinal, the Cavaliers will have to beat a familiar team for the second time.

Coldwater, which earlier in the season was the state’s No. 1-ranked D-V team, beat Anna 28-21 in overtime last weekend to make the D-V, Region 20 final against St. Henry. Coldwater beat both Anna (27-13) and St. Henry (17-0) in Midwest Athletic Conference play.

He can catch, too

If nothing else, quarterback Keith Wenning proved he truly can do anything for Coldwater in the regional semifinal win. The senior, who is headed to Ball State next year, scored from 23 yards on a halfback pass in overtime against Anna to help the Cavaliers advance.

Good company

Since 2000, Coldwater tops the list of wins for Ohio football teams.

Coldwater, according to research by Athletic Director Eric Goodwin, has won 121 games heading into its D-V, Region 20 title game. Cincinnati Colerain is second with 116 and Steubenville third at 115.

Coldwater plays St. Henry tonight at Harmon Field in Wapakoneta. The Cavaliers haven’t lost to the Redskins since 1996, a span of 13 games.

With Coldwater being the favored team I expected this article to read exactly how it does

Quit crying, if it was all about St. Henry and Coldwater as only mentioned once then the article would be totally fine, right?

What a stupidly written article. YOu'd think the article was going to be about St. HEnry...but they mention the skins once in the last sentence.

Horribly written.
