Taivion Thomas, 6-5 sr., Westerville North

Personally kept North in a 58-54 setback to La Lumiere (Ind.) by scoring 19 points and collecting 12 rebounds. Was nearly unstoppable, hitting 8-of-9 shots, 2-of-3 free throws and hitting his only trey attempt.

Jacob Rossi, 6-8 sr., Franklin

Turned in his finest game on the celebrated Wildcats’ biggest stage to date with 22 points and 11 rebounds in a hard-fought 64-49 defeat of Medina. Also had five offensive rebounds (11 total) and four assists.

John Staley, 6-5 sr., Chaminade Julienne

Scored a career-high 34 points in a 64-44 defeat of Chillicothe. The Northern Kentucky signee hit 13-of-17 field goals, 8-of-10 free throws and scored 21 of his team’s first 26 points. The Eagles improved to 9-3.
