A hail of 3-pointers from Brent Williams led the Vandalia Butler High School boys basketball team to a 50-40 win over Bethel on Saturday, Jan. 9.
Williams hit five 3-pointers and led the victory with 21 points.
A.J. Pacher, Butler’s 6-foot-9 center and a Wright State recruit, scored 13 points for the Aviators (6-3).
Scott Masin led Bethel (6-2) with 19 points.
Lebanon 56, Edgewood 43: Lebanon’s Blake Davenport scored 21 points, made two 3-pointers and went 7-for-8 from the free-throw line to lead the Warriors (2-7) to their second win in as many nights.
Colton Conover scored nine points, and A.J. Walter added seven for Lebanon. Patrick Turner led Edgewood with 16 points.
Jefferson 78, Meadowdale 57: Cody Latimer just missed a double-double with 19 points and eight rebounds, leading the Broncos (6-1) to the win.
Latimer also went 7-for-11 from the free-throw line.
Adreian Payne scored 12 points and had eight rebounds, while teammates Dwight Johnson scored 13 points and Irving Wood 12.
Richard Weaver led Meadowdale with 13 points, including a 7-for-9 effort from the free-throw line. Odis Shine scored 11 points, and Jaquill King and Sean Cassidy each added 10 for the Lions (4-6).
Franklin 51, Little Miami 49: Franklin out-scored Little Miami 17-7 in the fourth quarter to take the lead and the win.
Only four players scored for Franklin, led by Justin Rossi’s 22 points and six 3-pointers. Scott Blake scored 14, knocking down four 3-pointers, and Jacob Rossi added 12 points for the Wildcats (5-3).
Little Miami fell to 1-5.
Dixie 71, Monroe 43: Dixie started the game with a 20-3 run in the first quarter. Ryan Innis led four Greyhounds (5-3) in double figures with 16 points.
Zach Fugate paced Monroe (0-8) with 20 points.
Fort Loramie 50, Versailles 36: Cody Albers scored 15 to lead the Redskins (6-3) past Versailles (4-5).
