Chelsea Welch

Fairmont, 5-10, jr., G

Scouting report: Just one of several outstanding underclass reasons why the Firebirds have advanced to the Final Four the last two seasons. Her ability to penetrate is complimented by a sure left-handed shooting touch that was good for 14.6 points last season. Strong and physical, she also is capable of being a shutdown defender. A rare D-I All-Area player of the year as a sophomore. Uncommitted, but will have plenty of offers.

Kelley Austria

Carroll, 6-0, sr., G/F

Scouting report: Was at her best in the Patriots’ D-II state championship drive, which ended with a 54-51 setback to Shaker Heights Hathaway Brown. HB might have stopped Carroll, but not Austria. She went for 26 points and five steals in the final. Nearly impossible to defend when she goes to the basket. Like Welch, also physical and a shutdown defender. Should provide an immediate impact when she joins the University of Dayton program.

Raytae Long

Chaminade Julienne, 6-1, sr., F

Scouting report: A big body with a physical game. The Eagles followed her lead, advancing to the D-II regional final where they lost 40-35 to Carroll. Averaged 12 points and 8 rebounds and saved her best for Carroll, matching her season high with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Has signed with Vanderbilt.

Bianca Quisenberry

Tecumseh, 5-8, jr., G

Scouting report: Here’s all you need to know about this shooting star; 26.8 points per game, 7.7 rebounds, 6.1 steals and 3.7 assists. And that was her sophomore season. Already has surpassed 1,000 career points. Had games of 44 and 43 points. At 15-8, helped the Arrows to their best season in 17 years.

Kayla Linkous

Tri-Village, 5-11, sr., C

Scouting report: A big and rugged reason why the Patriots have reached the D-IV regional final the past two seasons, each time falling to Fort Loramie. Averaged 23.7 points, about 15 rebounds and already owns the school career scoring record and has surpassed 1,000 points. Tallied 61 points vs. Jefferson as a sophomore. Signed with Cedarville University.
