MASSILLON – Trotwood-Madison is the state Division II high school football champion after topping Avon 42-28 tonight at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium.

Isreal Green elevated his game to the spectacular by scoring six touchdowns, including four in the first half, after which the Rams led 28-14.

Green had 229 yards rushing at halftime and was unstoppable, especially in the first quarter, when he piled up 173. He finished with 326 yards unofficially, second-most in any Ohio title game regardless of division.

Earlier today, Kirtland defeated Coldwater 28-7 to win the D-V state title and Youngstown Cardinal Mooney beat Springfield Shawnee 21-14 for the D-III title.
