OXFORD — The Miami University men’s basketball team celebrated the 2008-09 season at its annual banquet on Tuesday evening, April 28, at the Marcum Center on MU’s campus.
Seniors Michael Bramos and Tyler Dierkers each took home three honors, while senior Eric Pollitz earned two awards.
In the final awards of the evening presented by head coach Charlie Coles, Bramos captured the William Rohr Most Valuable Player honor and also received his Mid-American Conference Player of the Year plaque. Bramos led the team and ranked second in the Mid-American Conference in scoring, averaging 17.9 ppg. He also was Miami’s top free-throw shooter, knocking down 83.3 percent of charity tosses, to garner the Dr. Terry Hunt Free Throw Award for the third straight year.
