BOWLING GREEN — Jarod Palmer scored two goals, including the winner with just over three minutes left to play Friday, Feb. 12, to lift the Miami University hockey team to a Central Collegiate Hockey Association-clinching 3-2 win over Bowling Green.
The top-ranked RedHawks extended their CCHA unbeaten streak to 21 games (17-0-4) as they clinched their first conference title since the 2005-06 season.
Chris Wideman scored Miami’s other goal and Andy Miele tallied two assists for the RedHawks (21-4-6, 18-1-4-2 CCHA). The Falcons fell to 4-21-4, 3-16-4-3.
The teams wrap up the weekend series at 5:05 tonight.
