DURHAM, N.H. — The top-ranked Miami hockey team used a four-goal outburst in the second period to defeat New Hampshire 6-3 Friday night at the Whittemore Center.
Five different RedHawks found the net, led by Carter Camper’s pair of goals. Tommy Wingels had a career-high three assists and Curtis McKenzie added two helpers for Miami (3-0-0). New Hampshire is 0-2-0.
Cameron Schilling and Matt Tomassoni each recorded his first career goal, while Alden Hirschfeld and Jarod Palmer also scored for Miami, the No. 1 team in the nation in both major polls.
The teams wrap up their two-game series tonight.
