COLUMBUS — Stefon Diggs, a blue-chip receiver from Olney, Md., is scheduled to announce his college choice on a Washington cable channel at 10 p.m. Friday. He’s considering Ohio State, Florida, Auburn and Maryland.

First-year Ohio State coach Urban Meyer targeted Diggs to fill a need for playmaking speed, as he put it, to be the cherry on top of his highly ranked recruiting class. But other schools have kept a spot open for Diggs for the same reason.
