UD women’s hoops to host kickoff party

DAYTON — The University of Dayton women’s basketball team will host a kickoff party for the developmentally disabled from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at UD Arena. The team has paired up with the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services to start a fan club called FANtastic Flyers.
During the kickoff party, Flyers will help fans make posters, pom-poms and be available for an autograph session. The party is open for fans of all ages with disabilities.
• UD 88, Indiana (Pa.) 56: Kristin Daugherty led the way with 15 points in an exhibition win at UD Arena.
