About the Raiders

WSU is trying to beat Miami for the third time in four years. Both victories came on last-second shots, by DaShaun Wood and Todd Brown ... Point guard N’Gai Evans is expected to miss this game with an MCL strain. His place in the starting lineup probably goes to Troy Tabler, but look for more play for Scott Grote and freshman Darian Cartharn.

About the RedHawks

Still trying to figure out a way to win close games, Miami is 0-2 against teams in southwest Ohio, losing 65-58 to UD and 63-59 to UC ... Northmont grad Kenny Hayes leads Miami in scoring ... This is bicentennial reunion weekend for Miami basketball and several former players will be in attendance and will be introduced during the game.

FYI

With Oxford only an hour away, the Raiders will bus over Sunday morning. On Tuesday, the Raiders fly to Starkvillle, Miss., for Wednesday’s game with Mississippi State.
