Are you legally drunk?

A glass or two of wine, or a beer, with dinner is common for many people. But consuming alcohol can have a dramatic impact on your ability to drive a motor vehicle.

These calculations are only an indication of the impact alcohol may have on you. The calculations do not take into account whether you have had anything to eat or your tolerance for alcohol.

The safest way to consume alcohol during an evening out is to have a sober designated driver.

Can of beer: 12 oz./4-5 percent alcohol

What does this mean?
According to the law in Dayton, and most states, you're considered legally drunk if your Blood Alcohol level reaches .08 percent. How quickly you reach that number depends on your weight, your tolerance for alcohol, how much you're drinking, and how long you've been drinking.
