Fairborn group sets packed 2009 lineup

Most area community theaters are satisfied to mount five or six productions a year. Fairborn Actor's Theatre, 23 E. Main St., has announced a 2009 lineup of more than twice that many. The list includes "A Midsummer Night's Dream," Mozart's "The Magic Flute," "The Boys Next Door" by Tom Griffin, summer youth workshops, "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "A Christmas
Carol."
Current attraction is "Snow White" at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 23, and 8 p.m. Thursday and Saturday. More information is available at (937) 878-3353 or www.actheatre.us.
• Dayton Early College Academy students will present "Mixed Contributions" at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 24 and 25, in the Kennedy Union Boll Theatre at the University of Dayton. The program is composed of four one-act plays that focus on black identity in American society and take place in three decades of the 20th century. Director is Jonathan Platt, language arts teacher at DECA. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door. For more information, call (937) 229-5780.

The Dayton Playhouse, 1301 E. Siebenthaler Ave., will have tryouts for the musical "The King and I" from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 24 and 25.
