Downtown comes alive with art, music and performance during urban nights

Round two of "City Life": 20 new bronze sculptures by J. Seward Johnson, whose life-size figures of celebrities and everyday people first sprouted throughout downtown for last spring's Urban Nights. Maps of the sculpture locations will be available. See www.downtowndayton.org for information about related photo and story contests.

Food and drink at many locations: Some restaurants and nightclubs will be offering discounts. Go here for more information.
Tours of office space and downtown housing: This includes a new eco-friendly town home in the Litehouse development at First Street and Patterson Boulevard.
The World A'Fair: Presented by the Dayton International Festival, it will run through Sunday, May 18, at the Convention Center, 22 E. Fifth St. Food, drinks and entertainment from more than 20 countries.
Wright-Dunbar Village: "Back on the Block." Live entertainment, food, business open houses. West Third Street between Broadway and Williams Street.
"Brew Ha-Ha": Craft beers and food. Presented by the Miami Valley Restaurant Association at Dave Hall Plaza, Fourth and Jefferson streets.
RTA trolleys: Free throughout the night to Wright-Dunbar Village and the Oregon District.
Sideshow III: Presented by the Dayton Circus Collective at The Merc, 607 E. Third St. at Sears Street. Free parking behind the building.
Entertainment: Installations, art exhibits, entertainment on several stages and roving street performers. Velvet Crush performs from 9 to 11 p.m. on the Courthouse Square stage. Live jazz will be happening at several restaurants around town.
Tours of the Dayton Arcade passageway: Complete with a photo exhibit.
Dance party and live broadcast with WYSO-FM DJ Rev. Cool: 8 p.m. to midnight at Playthink Learning Studios, 411 E. Fifth St.
Designer Showhouse: Dayton Woman's Club, 225 N. Ludlow St. $12 admission.
