“Bent Objects: The Secret Life of Everyday Things” won’t be in stores until Tuesday, Oct. 6, but you can get a hilarious preview of the very clever book anytime you like. A trailer for “Bent Objects” has been posted on creator Terry Border’s Web site and it’s worth the visit.
Apparently the Indiana photographer/artist was never told not to play with his food. Anything is game for his twisted wire creations that spoof real life — especially if it’s edible. The best part of the trailer is the photos are all the ones that didn’t make it into the book.
Visit bentobjects.blogspot.com and prepare to be amazed by some serious creative muscle.
And speaking of creativity, if you’re a “Project Runway” devotee like myself, you will want to make note that local “PR” contestant Althea Harper will be at the Color of Energy gallery, 16 Brown St. in the Oregon Arts District, presenting “Live from Project Runway: Althea Harper” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3. Check out her sketches and watch her at work as she sews a new frock in the gallery.
Contact gallery owner Mike Elsass for more information at (937) 266-3491.
