Surely someone will chant “Jerry, Jerry, Jerry” in Dayton this weekend.

Springer is a former Cincinnati mayor. The Jerry Spring Show's notorious ringmaster has been pounding the pavement for fellow Democrats.

Manigault, a Central State University graduate and a “Celebrity Apprentice” alum, is from Youngstown and studied at United Theological Seminary in Dayton.

Johnson, a motivational speaker and chief of strategy for the Baltimore-based branding firm Illume Communications, was raised in Cleveland.

State Rep. John Patrick Carney, the Democratic nominee for Ohio Auditor, and State Rep. Tom Letson, the Democratic nominee for Ohio Supreme Court, are also expected to appear.
