The 26th Resolution Run begins at 8 p.m. on Dec. 31 at Beavercreek High School, 2660 Dayton-Xenia Road.
The 5K run will take participants on a lighted course through a nearby residential area.
The finish line will be back at the high school.
There will also be Kids’ Race of Champions starting at 6:45 p.m. for 6 and under; 7 p.m. for 7 to 9 years old; and 7:15 p.m. for 10 to 12 years old.
Before and during the race there is a cash and carry silent auction of items.
The Beavercreek Cross Country Parents’ Association hosts the Resolution Run, which draws participants from the Miami Valley, Ohio and other states. The race is sanctioned by USA Track & Field, the national governing body for track and field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States.
There will be 13 age divisions, ranging from 14 and younger to 70 and older.
