The “hills will be alive with the sound of music” this week. But not an ode sung in the Swiss Alps. Rather, it’s the Hickory Hills in Fort Loramie. And not by a young woman named Maria. Nope, it’s a young man named Jason or Dierks or Brad. Not the “Sound of Music.” It’s Country Concert 2013.

Thousands of you and your closest friends will converge on the small town to take in three days of country music featuring some of the biggest names in the industry. Jason Aldean and Jake Owen perform Thursday night. Dierks Bentley, Little Big Town and Kellie Pickler will be there Friday. Brad Paisley, Chris Young, Lee Brice, Chris Cagle, Dustin Lynch and Jana Kramer are the Saturday performers.

Among those who might there Saturday afternoon is a Michigan girl named Jaylynn Hiller. The blonde, blue-eyed 9-year-old is recovering from a fractured pelvis after she hit by a car earlier last month leaving a concert in Allegan, Mich.

Fox 17 in West Michigan reported the little girl was upset she wouldn’t be able to see Lee in concert the next day because she was hospitalized. Well, through the magic of Nashville, word got back to the singer about Jaylynn’s plight. Lee discovered Jaylynn especially loves his No. 1 hit “I Drive Your Truck,” because her stepfather was recently killed in a car accident and it was his favorite song.

Despite the fact that Jaylynn’s recovery has been slow — her mom Charlinda Lupien said, “just being able to do things on her own is rough” — there should be a happy ending. Lee’s manager reached out to the family and offered not just tickets to see Lee in concert but also backstage passes so Jaylynn can meet her idol.

Lee has no more dates in Michigan, so the closest is this Saturday at Country Concert in Fort Loramie. Her mom said on Lee’s Facebook page they hope Jaylynn will be strong enough to make the trip, “we are greatful (sic) for everything he has done just hoping to keep her doing good and getting stronger every day.” Lee is set to take the stage around 6 p.m., hopefully with a little pig-tailed cowgirl front and center.
