DAYTON — Here’s your chance to win free tickets to the Victoria Theatre’s classic summer Michelob Ultra Cool Films Series.

The popular weekend series has become especially beloved for its great old films, free popcorn and soda.

This summer’s kick-off film is “The Seven Year Itch,” starring Marilyn Monroe, on July 3-5.

In anticipation of the event, the whole community is invited to “get their blonde on” by taking a photo with the Marilyn statue that’s part of the CityLife summer sculpture exhibit sponsored by the Downtown Dayton Partnership and submitting it to a photo contest.

You’ll find the statue on the James H. McGee Plaza in front of the Schuster Center at the corner of Second and Main Streets.

Note that this isn’t a look-alike contest. All you need to do is to use your imagination, strike a pose, snap a photo, add a title and your contact information, and send it in by Tuesday, June 30, to info@victoriatheatre. com. Marilyn poses aren’t necessary and you’re reminded to keep it clean.

On Wednesday, new VTA President and CEO Ken Neufeld will select his favorite photo and the winner will receive two passbooks (10 passes each) good for the entire nine-weekend series.
