The first bar-only concept at Liberty Center is set to open Oct. 21.

The Roosevelt Room, a new bar concept from 4EG — Four Entertainment Group, will be located at 7500 Bales St. between CineBistro and Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant.

Michael Schroeder, operations manager for the new club said it will be a “funky, groovy, swanky” place based around President Theodore Roosevelt and his larger-than-life personality.

“In Liberty Center, everything pretty much closes down around 9:30, 10 o’clock,” Schroeder said. “We’re basically just going in to offer a place that will be open until 2 a.m. and just give people a good place to go and dance and hang out.”

4EG, which operates more than a dozen bars in Cincinnati, including The Lackman and Lachey’s in Over-the-Rhine, and five in Chicago, decided to open in the Liberty Twp. mega development that includes office and residential space because “it’s a great up-and-coming area,” he said.

“We were looking to get out of the downtown Cincinnati area just because we had so many places downtown,” Schroeder said. “This was a great opportunity for us to expand out of that Cincinnati area and get into a new, up-and-coming burgeoning market location.”

Happy hour specials that include half-price drinks will run from 4 to 7 p.m. A “Rough Riders” loyalty program will allow patrons $1 off drafts, $1 off domestics and $1 off all Tito’s Handmade Vodka drinks.

Hours will be 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. daily except for Sundays. If Sundays come into play, hours will be 8 p.m. t0 2 a.m., Schroeder said. The club has hired 10 employees and is looking to add more to its bar-backing and security team, he said.
