Music, food trucks, fireworks, plane rides part of Runway Fest

Interested in live music, food trucks, fireworks and airplane rides?

You may want to join the thousands of people expected for Runway Fest, a free event from 6-10 p.m. Friday at Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport in Miami Twp.

Organizers said the sixth annual event includes improved parking and a wider variety of food vendors than last year’s event, which drew more than 5,000 to the airport at 10550 N. Springboro Pike just south of Austin Boulevard.

Singer Ashley Martin will be featured, as will aircraft static displays, airplane rides, inflatables, face painting, fireworks, music and food trucks.

Among the more than dozen event sponsors are the Dayton International Airport, City Barbeque, Dayton Children’s, Chuy’s, Rossi, Aviation Sales and Commander Aero.

Admission and parking are free.
