1) DAYTON PHILHARMONIC

The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra continues its busy schedule this weekend with three performances at the Schuster Center, Second and Main streets, Dayton. The SuperPops Series concert, “Lights, Camera … the Oscars!” — at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 20 and 21 — is a tribute to film music.

The program features selections from “Gone with the Wind,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “My Fair Lady,” “Chariots of Fire” and other cinematic classics. Guest vocalists Marie Danvers and Alicia Hall Moran will join the orchestra.

The DPO presents “Lift Ev’ry Voice,” a special Stained Glass Concert at the Schuster Center at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22. 2) DIONNE WARWICK

With more than 60 singles on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, Dionne Warwick’s musical legacy if firmly sealed. However, the native of East Orange, N.J., isn’t resting on her past accomplishments. At 76, Warwick still performs steadily, including a concert at the Schuster Center, Second and Main streets, Dayton, at 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26. Cost: $43-$83. 3) ‘XANADU’

Musical magic and plenty of roller skating ensues when the Muses of Mount Olympus come to the aid of dispirited artist in Venice Beach. That’s the set-up for the stage musical “Xanadu,” which is based on the 1980 film starring Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. The 2007 play features book by Douglas Carter Beane and music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar. “Xanadu,” which opens at Dayton Playhouse, 1301 E. 4) WINTER BLUES SHOWCASE

When the Dayton Blues Society hosts its annual Winter Blues Showcase at Gilly’s, 132 S. Jefferson St., Dayton, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, it will feature established artists and rising talent. Headliner Stacy Mitchhart, a Nashville-based Cincinnati-native, will share the bill with the winners of the Dayton Blues Society’s 2016 Dayton Blues Challenge: the Joe Tellmann Band, Dan Holt and Johnny Fink & the Intrusion. 5) LUNA GALE

In Rebecca Gilman’s powerful drama, “Luna Gale,” the playwright explores faith and forgiveness. Dayton Theatre Guild’s new production opens in the Caryl D. Philips TheatreScape, 430 Wayne Ave., Dayton, on Friday, Jan. 20. “Luna Gale” is presented through Feb. 5. 6) SUPERJOINT

Phil Anselmo is the sometimes controversial figure known to rock fans as the former frontman of Pantera, but he continues to make music following the demise of his now-classic band. His current outfit, Superjoint, performing at Oddbody’s Music Room, 5418 Burkhardt Road, Dayton, on Saturday, Jan. 21, released its new album, “Caught Up in the Gears of Application,” in November. 7) JON REEP

Like many comedians, Jon Reep has done a little bit of everything in the entertainment field. He has had recurring roles on television comedies “Rodney” and “Eastbound & Down.” He’s appeared in feature films like “Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay” and “Into the Storm.” He even hosted the obligatory reality show — “R U Faster Than a Redneck?” — on the now-defunct Speed Network. Reep’s main focus is still stand-up, which brings him back to the Funny Bone Comedy Club, 88 Plum St., The Greene, Beavercreek, where is performing through Sunday, Jan. 22. 8) JOHN McEUEN

In 2016, John McEuen and his celebrated country rock band the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band marked its 50th year as an active band. While that remains a part of his life, the California native is currently focused on his solo career, which includes the recent album, “Made in Brooklyn” (Chesky Records). He is currently out on an acoustic tour which he’s calling John McEuen and Friends presents Will the Circle Be Unbroken, which hits the Victoria Theatre, 138 N. 9) INDUSTRIAL NATURE

It’s no secret that one person’s trash can become another person’s inspired piece of art. That fact is once again confirmed in the new exhibition, “Industrial Nature,” opening at the Springfield Museum of Art, 107 Cliff Park Road, Springfield, on Saturday, Jan. 21. The new show features Michelle Stitzlein’s large-scale sculptures created from recycled materials. “Industrial Nature” is on display through May 28. 10) THE SURLY GENTLEMEN

Max Nunery, a member of the Repeating Arms and the organizer of the annual Miami Valley Brewgrass Festival in Miamisburg, is curating a new bluegrass concert series. The first installment of the monthly series at Star City Brewery, 319 S. Second St., Miamisburg, is Saturday, Jan. 21. This month’s act is the Surly Gentlemen, an acoustic trio featuring Clay Hess, Brennan Hess and Tim Shelton.
