"Such a Night: The Last Waltz Live" will open with Arlo Guthrie's "Alice's Restaurant," a fan favorite with a Thanksgiving theme.
The event is a fundraiser for 91.3 WYSO Public Radio and the DAI.
Tickets are $25 each, or $30 for premium seating.
A special 6 p.m. VIP reception for the Friday event is $50 extra and includes music, heavy hors d'oeuvres and a complimentary drink.
Filmed by director Martin Scorsese, The Last Waltz was held on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 1976 and included guest performances by Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Ron Wood, Emmylou Harris, Ringo Starr, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, Neil Diamond, The Staple Singers, Eric Clapton and several others.
WYSO music director and host Niki Dakota said said several of those performances will be recreated.
She said performers "do it up."
"Such a Night: The Last Waltz Live is the perfect embodiment of WYSO — music, art and community," Dakota said.
She said people sing along to the music and dance in the front.
"It is nice," Dakota said. "It has a great vibe."
This will mark the fourth year the concert will be performed as a benefit for WYSO.
Dakota said it was held a few years before that as well.
"I think it is going to be a permanent tradition at Thanksgiving," she said.
