What a difference a week makes in the life of the Bachelorette. One day, Desiree Hartsock is all smiles and giggles, telling flowers and animals and boys how much she loves them. The next, she's sitting in what looks to be some sort of crushed velvet/silk monstrosity, crying in a wicker chair to Chris Harrison. It's very inconsistent, and we feel for her.
In this preview of what seems to be a mashup of the final two episodes of Season 9, Des frolics with Drew Kenney, Brooks Forester, and Chris Siegfried while voiceovers talk of feelings of love and how fulfilled everyone feels and felt. But then the scene switches to the wicker chair incident, with Desiree sobbing and saying she just wants to go home while Chris "Try My Dating App" Harrison says, "I'm sorry," and attempts to console her.
"I never thought this is where I'd be," Des says, not talking about the pristine waters of Overnight Dates and Finale location Antigua. What happened between the frolicking and the peach dress-wearing to make her sob so breathily? We're not sure, but we have a few ideas. We'd love to hear yours in the meantime, while we collect our thoughts.
