The contenders have begun to tee off at Augusta National and based on the performance of a few players early on, scores could go low on Sunday.
Phil Mickelson finished his final round with a 1-over 73, but after his round, Mickelson said he thought someone was going to go low on Sunday. A few players have already found success in the final round, proving there are low scores to be had. Rory McIlroy is among the players playing well. Back-to-back birdies at No. 15 and No. 16 have McIlroy 3-under for the round and 2-over for the tournament. If not for a 7-over 79 on Saturday, McIlory could be challenging for the clubhouse lead.
Michael Thompson carded the lowest round of the day thus far, posting a 5-under 67 on Sunday. David Toms is 5-under through 15 holes on the day while Ryan Moore and Ryo Ishikawa carded 4-under 68s. The late groups are beginning to tee off with Justin Rose and Zach Johnson among the players on the course. Both Rose and Johnson are 1-under through three holes.
The final groups are preparing to join the others on the course as Tiger Woods will tee off at 2:10 p.m. ET with Adam Scott teeing off at 2:30 p.m. and the final pairing hitting the course at 2:40 p.m.
Tianlang Guan, one of the stories of the 2013 Masters, finished his final round with a 3-over 75. He finished the tournament as the low amateur at 12-over and is currently in 58th place. A complete leaderboard can be found at Masters.com.
