Prostitution sting nets 5 arrests

Five suspects were arrested during a prostitution sting on Friday, June 25, 2010 in Middletown. The investigation was prompted when a witness saw a man back up a truck and hit a child after dropping off a prostitute early Friday morning. The man was arrested.

A fly-in luncheon for the National Waco Club was held at the Andy Barnhart Memorial Airport in New Carlisle, Friday, June 25, hosted by Ted Teach and Roger James.  The National Waco Club is holding their annual fly-in at Mt. Vernon, Ohio, which started on Wednesday and will run thru Sunday.  The tour originated in Mt. Vernon to the Waco museum in Troy and finished with a lunch in New Carlisle before returning to Mt. Vernon.

The Law Enforcement Torch Run passes through Centerville early in an 11-mile run to downtown Dayton. More than thirty runners, representing public safety officers in Centerville, Kettering, Miami Twp., Huber Heights, the FBI, Secret Service, OSI (Wright-Patt AFB), and the Ohio Attorney General's Office, took part in the Centerville leg of the statewide-event to raise funds for the Ohio Special Olympics.
