Springfield, Ohio — Police have identified the body found behind a vacant North Yellow Springs Street home last week as that of Angela M. Kilgore, officials said Friday, May 2.
The 37-year-old woman's body was found April 24 behind an abandoned home in the 500 block of North Yellow Springs Street.

"We will continue to pursue the cowards who did this," said Springfield Police Dvision Chief Stephen Moody.
Investigators continue to investigate the case as a homicide but have not determined the cause of death, he said.
Kilgore was last seen in late October at the Fairfax Motel, 2418 E. Main St. She was reported missing Nov. 14.
Her disappearance was treated as "suspicious" because Kilgore hadn't contacted her family for some time by early November, which was "not like her," said Moody.
"She kept in very good contact with her family members, particularly her mother," said Moody.
Kilgore's death is not connected to any other homicide police are investigating, Moody said.
Moody said police are exploring all angles, including whether Kilgore's death might have been caused by a stranger or someone she knew.
Kilgore had a history of prostitution, according to police reports.
"She was a mother, a daughter and a sister," he said. "There was a lifestyle, and she was a victim of that lifestyle also."
Kilgore was a registered nurse and was last issued a license in Aug. 2003, according to Ohio Board of Nursing records.
