Bethel Twp., Ohio — A three-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 40 and Ohio 235 killed a New Carlisle teenager and injured several others Saturday, Nov. 22.

Amber Cornett, 16, died from injuries suffered in the crash after she was taken by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital, according to information from the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Cornett was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Allison Rudd, 16, of Tipp City. Rudd was headed north on Ohio 235 when she ran a red light, according to the post. Her 2003 Chevy Cavalier was struck by a 1999 Ford Ranger that was headed west on U.S. 40, the post added.
