I LOVE VON MAUR! We moved here two years ago from Illinois. The Von Maur in Yorktown Shopping Center in Lombard was my favorite place. I still have a running tab at Von Maur because I go there every time we go back to visit and I also call on the phone and have gifts sent out. 

My family knows every gift they open has a Von Maur box. I spent two days there at Christmas, determined to send every gift from there, which I did. The mark-downs are great, and I never leave the store without a package. My friends here can't believe it's as great as I say, but I know they'll be believers when it opens. I'm so excited it's here!

I LIVE IN CENTERVILLE, but in the '90s, our family lived in the Quad Cities (Davenport, Iowa) and Von Maur was my all-time favorite store! The selection was great ... always found what I needed for every occasion ... Christmas gifts, baby gifts and I absolutely loved the free gift wrap and shipping. One other thing I remember was the music while I shopped ... there was "live" piano music at the store I went to in Davenport. Cannot wait to shop Von Maur once again!

MY HUSBAND AND I lived in Fort Wayne, Ind., and shopped the Von Maur store there. If this store is anything like the one there ... WOW! The other stores in the area will want to take notes.

What a wonderful experience from the time you walk in the door until you reluctantly leave. The decor is fantastic, elegant yet not pretentious. The staff is smiling and s-o-o-o willing to help you find what you are looking for or they let you browse, then ask if you need it. There is always someone to help you when you are in the dressing room, so if you need a size change, etc., you don't have to redress, go make the exchange and then undress again. A sales assistant is always willing to help.

Von Maur goes the extra mile in hiring the best personnel. The customers may be rude, but the sales assistants never are ... and, believe me, I have witnessed some rude customers.

The clothes at Von Maur are the top of the line. They have the best selection and shoes to fit even me (I am one of those size 5s). The clothes are always pressed, never put on display with wrinkles, as you find in some stores. The restrooms are always white-glove clean, too.

I AM DELIGHTED to have an opportunity to tell anyone willing to listen about what a joy it is to shop at Von Maur!

Ever since I learned that Von Maur was coming to The Greene, I have been waiting anxiously for its doors to open. My friends have all listened to me go on incessantly about how excited I am that Von Maur is coming to Dayton and what an asset it will be for this community. I believe that my enthusiasm has generated a fair amount of excitement among my friends in anticipating the grand opening.

My past experiences shopping at Von Maur have been in Oakbrook, Ill., and Livonia, Mich., and all were very positive ... customer service is the name of their game! If you are looking for something special, be it for yourself or a gift, Von Maur is the place to go. Its stores are spacious, merchandise is beautifully displayed, selection is excellent and the shoe department is second to none. The sales personnel have always been friendly and very helpful.

After growing up in Detroit and living in Fort Wayne, Ind., Naperville, Ill., Dayton, Conway (Little Rock area) Ark., Tulsa, Okla., and now back in Dayton, I can honestly say that Von Maur is the very nicest store in which I have ever shopped!
