PASADENA, Texas — Authorities say a Houston-area woman who was burned up at her former common-law husband fried their pet goldfish and ate some of them.

Pasadena police say it's a civil matter and no charges will be filed. The seven goldfish were purchased together by the couple during happier times.

Police spokesman Vance Mitchell says the man reported on Saturday that the woman took the goldfish from his apartment.

Mitchell says the two argued earlier about some jewelry the man had given her but took back. She wanted the jewelry returned.

Officers who were dispatched to the woman's home arrived to find four fried goldfish on a plate. The woman said she already ate the other three.

What is up with this women? Even if it was just gold fishes, how could she stand there and watch them fry while they were still alive. This chick needs to be in a mental institute.

I think you should have to have an IQ test before you can post a comment to these news reports. We eat fish everyday, you can't compare them to dogs and cats. Comparing her to Micheal Vick is about ignorant what he did was break a law. I know of no law against eating fish. The man should be charged with wasting the time of the police department and should have to pay for calling them. What she did was mean and spiteful not illegal.

Dogs are cute, but they are the stupidest animal on the planet. I will never understand why people would want a creature in their house that eats poop and dead things, rolls in them, then comes inside to jump on you and lick your face.

she is a female michael vick..lock her up just like you did him. charge her with cruelty then lock her up for 2 years.think that's too harsh? i thought they were too harsh on vick so i say let her get hers just like he had to get his.. she is no better that he was,fish,dog,cat,skunk,goat,deer,whatever..if you charge one then charge everybosy else the same.LOCK HER UP,MAKE SURE SHE LEARNS HER LESSON..POOR GOLDFISH,THEY NEVER DID ANYTHING TO HER..
