DAYTON — Public Health – Dayton and Montgomery County has received a $105,000 state grant to help develop healthy lifestyle programs, the agency announced Tuesday, Dec. 22.

The Creating Healthy Communities Program grant is from the Ohio Department of Health.

The grant will target southeast Dayton with programs designed to promote physical activity and healthy eating, improve access to quality preventive health care services and address health disparities.

Beginning in January, Public Health will work with health centers and others to design and implement the programs, which could expand to other neighborhoods with additional funding.
