Greene County Master Gardeners host educational seminars, work with school gardening clubs, coordinate beautification efforts with local municipalities and more.

Upon receiving an application, an orientation or briefing will be scheduled at the applicant’s convenience at either 5:30 p.m. Jan. 18; 10 a.m. Jan. 19; or 2:30 p.m. Jan. 20 at the extension office.

Requirements to become certified as a Greene County Master Gardener are completing the 10-week series of classes, having a clear fingerprint and background check, passing a take-home test and volunteering for OSU Extension for 50 hours between Feb. 4 and Oct. 15.

Cost for the class series and certification is $150 with $50 (non-refundable) due upon receipt of the application. The remaining $100 is due the first day of class.
