DAYTON — The Montgomery County Animal Resource Center is hosting a vaccination clinic Wednesday. The ARC is able to do this thanks to an ASPCA Grant to Communities in Need. The ASPCA has awarded the Animal Resource Center $5,000 for the vaccination of cats and dogs whose owners cannot afford yearly routine vaccinations. The vaccinations include: distemper/parvo combination and rabies (1-3 years) vaccine for dogs and feline distemper and rabies (1-3 years) vaccine for cats.
The event will be at the Animal Resource Center at 6790 Webster St., from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Families with pets in need of these vaccinations must show proof of public assistance or unemployment. The co-pay is $5 for one animal and $10 (total) for as many as five animals.
Vaccinations are available for 200 animals, so pet owners should reserve a time by contacting the Animal Resource Center at (937) 898-4457 or AnimalShelter@mcohio.org.
