A “Pink-Ti-Fied Celebration Brunch” will be at De’Lish Cafe in downtown Dayton immediately following today’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. The event, which will honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, will be from noon to 3 p.m. at the restaurant, located across from the Victoria Theatre.

Twenty-percent of the cost of the $19.95 brunch will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The menu includes waffles, omelettes, chicken and more.

Erica Clark, the breast cancer survivor featured on last Sunday’s Life cover, will be a featured speaker. Michelle Upshaw, a community health advocate for Dayton and Montgomery County, will tell attendees how to “Get the Facts,” and Chris Wiley and Ralph Farley will share inspirational poetry. Music will be performed by Premium Blend.

Reservations aren’t necessary.

Artist P. Buckley Moss is one of those who will participate in the upcoming Dale Bowman Memorial Walk slated for Oct. 22 in Waynesville.

The event will benefit the PALS for Life Breast Cancer Support Group and the Dale Bowman Scholarship Fund. To participate, call Canada Goose Gallery at (513) 897-4348 for more information.

A Pink Lit Restorative Yoga Fundraiser in honor of breast cancer awareness month will be at 11:05 a.m. today at Urban Active located at 4494 Walnut Street Beavercreek.

Participants will light pink candles to honor those affected by breast cancer.

Participants are asked to make a $25 donation, which will include a pink votive candle to light, a limited edition T-shirt, bracelet and a pink balloon which will have the name of person that is being honored, to be tied in the club. All of the fees will be donated to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure. Nonmembers also will have access to Urban Active for the entire month of October at no charge.

The Bellbrook Chocolate Shoppe at Cross Pointe Centre will host it’s 12th annual “All You Can Eat Chocolate Party” from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 23. A portion of all proceeds will go to provide mammograms for the underserved, underinsured in our area through the Kettering Health Network Foundation.

Tickets are $20 and are available at the shop or call (937) 436-5066 for reservations or more information. Treats range from chocolate creams and caramels to fudge, cookies and sugared nuts.
