KETTERING — It is common for artwork to have people without clothes, but in Aimee Helen Koch’s photo artwork, it’s the opposite — clothes without people.

Amy Anderson, Rosewood Gallery coordinator, said in a recent press statement that Koch’s black and white photos “present the viewer with shadowy, fashion-clad figures, void of flesh, they create a haunting fashion show of invisible women.”

Koch’s photos will be on display now through June 5 at the Rosewood Gallery, which is inside the Rosewood Arts Centre, 2655 Olson Drive.

The gallery is open
8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.

Koch, of Richmond Va. is the gallery administrator at the 1708 Gallery in Richmond.

Visitors can also view the paintings of Glenn Payne, who has illustrated several books, including ‘‘Jabberwock Review,’’ ‘‘Love Doesn’t Die’’ and ‘‘A Home for Mattie Anne.’’

Payne, who is from Blue Springs, Mo., compares his paintings to movies, according to information from Anderson.

“His paintings, either black and white, or with bursts of spot color, present to the viewer a feeling of film noire and reflect on the days of the detective and femme fatals.”
