Amy Watson tested Spray 'n Wash Bright & White with Resolve.
WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO: It is a safe and effective alternative to bleach, removes stains and keeps clothes bright.
HOW MUCH IT COSTS: $4.99 for 44 oz.; $7.99 for 75 oz.
DID IT WORK? No. I tested it on a shirt that had a BBQ sauce stain. I did not pretreat the stain (which is suggested for tough stains). The stain was still faintly present and noticeable. Later, I pre-treated a chili stain and it did come out.
WHAT DID YOU LIKE ABOUT IT? It has a nice fragrance and can also be used in high-efficiency washers.
WHAT DID YOU DISLIKE ABOUT IT? I do not like that this product is to be used in conjunction with your regular detergent, especially since you still have to pretreat tough stains. I also did not like the mess of having to pour detergent on a small stain when pretreating.
IS IT WORTH THE MONEY? No, I do not think this product is worth the price of $4.99 a bottle for 16 loads, especially since you still need to use your regular laundry detergent.
WOULD YOU BUY IT? No.
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT? No. If it removed stains without pretreating and regular detergent, it would be worth the price.
