Girls celebrate cancer remission by recreating viral photo

This spring, three young girls entered a photo studio. They did not know each other, but they had one unfortunate thing in common: They all had cancer.

Rylie Hughey was diagnosed with kidney cancer, Rheann Franklin was battling brain cancer and Ainsley Peters had leukemia.

The photo session was created to raise awareness of childhood cancer. The image of the three girls embracing each other quickly went viral.

As it turns out, the girls have something else in common. They are fighters.

All three girls are now in remission, their families are happy to report. To celebrate, the girls recreated the viral photo from April.

Today reports that the photographers are raising money for the three families by selling prints of the original photo.
