How you can go inside of this plush $500K house overlooking the city

You can check out one of downtown Dayton’s most plush housing communities and nosh on some small bites.

A grand opening, complete with a ribbon cutting, is scheduled for Monument Walk, Charles Simms Development's fifth housing development in downtown Dayton, from 4 to 6 p.m. today, May 9.

"We are excited to have the grand opening," Robi Simms said. "It is good luck to have a grand opening in Dayton."  

Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley will take part in the ribbon cutting ceremony.

A model will be open, and refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

The 17-townhouse complex is near the corner of Ludlow St. and Monument Ave. and features amazing city view rooms.

We checked out a city view room as it was being constructed.

The 3,227 to 3,470-square-foot, elevator-ready homes start at $489,900.

A unit in the development will be also open during the free Downtown Housing Tour organized by the Downtown Dayton Partnership, which is set for 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 20. The tour is part of the Summer in the City series.

It also includes housing in Water Street Flats, St. Clair Lofts, Water Street Delco Lofts, Dayton Towers Apartments, City View, Brownstones at 2nd, First Place Luxury Apartments and the Wheelhouse, which is under construction at 210 Wayne Avenue.
