Luna Gifts & Botanicals
261 Wayne Ave, Dayton
(937) 938-5838
www.facebook.com/Lunadayton
Luna, which opened in mid-September, has been a welcome addition to Oregon District shopping. This is the sister business of Heart Mercantile with a thoughtful merchandising and layout that's definitely reminiscent of the other store. This store specializes in house plants (mostly air plants and succulents), candles, paper items like journals and gift merchandise inspired by plant life and animals. Beautiful blooming air plants are just $10 each, making it a nice hostess gift -- or, when paired with a nice container, a interesting gift for mom that will be a good conversation piece.

Obviously this is the spot to go to for the person in your life that likes music (or movies). Just tell the smart folks that work here the three favorite bands (or movies) of your loved ones and they will have suggestions to get you hooked up for the holidays. The store also has an array of items that you also might be interested in grabbing while you were there. Cards Against Humanity, a record player, incense, new ear buds, a magazine? They have all that and more.

If none of these are hitting the spot, go the gift certificate route. Any of the above spots will work or go for an experience with gift certificates to an Oregon District restaurant or one of these businesses:
