Nikkole Paulun posted a photo of her son, Lyle Drummonds, paying the bill at a restaurant the two visited. Not only that, but he also pulls out her chair, talks about his day and asks about hers.

She said he also learns about math by calculating a tip.

"It's never too early to teach your child how to properly respect others, especially women," Paulun wrote on Facebook. "As a woman who has been abused and treated like crap in the past, it's extremely important to me that I teach my son how to show respect."

She wrote that he earns a monthly allowance by doing chores and that both mother and son put away all electronics during the duration of each meal.

"The reason I started the dinner dates was (because of) the fact that I had been treated poorly in the past," Paulun told ABC News. "I see so many girls I know get treated badly, and I wanted to make sure my son didn't grow up to be like that. I suggested we start doing mommy-son dates and he loved the idea, and still does."

She continued: "It's a special day every month for him to feel like a big guy and get to spend extra time with mom. It's definitely made us closer."

Paulun, 22, appeared on the second season of MTV's "16 And Pregnant."

She said her lesson of respect has translated into other areas of her son's life as well.

"I have seen him use his politeness everywhere," said Paulun. "He will ask people who come over questions about their day or their life. It's so cute."

The photo was posted on Jan. 1 and has already gotten nearly 3 million likes.
