Longtime teacher, columnist Roz Young dies

Dayton historian, teacher and author Rosamond McPherson Young died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday of natural causes at age 92. A 30-year teacher in Dayton city schools, Mrs. Young was affectionately known as "Roz" to readers of her column for more than 25 years at The Journal Herald and the Dayton Daily News. She also was an author of English textbooks and biographies for young adults.
