Oakwood is a city in Montgomery county in the U.S. state of Ohio. Oakwood is part of the Greater Dayton Area. It is a sister city with Le Vesinet, France and Outremont, Quebec and was incorporated in 1908. John Henry Patterson, industrialist and founder of the National Cash Register Corporation, is considered the "Father of Oakwood" according to Oakwood: The Far Hills.
The Montgomery County Democratic Party held its annual Frolic for Funds on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Dayton Convention Center in downtown Dayton.
