That is slightly higher than the $2.668 billion the company reported in 2005.
LexisNexis put its adjusted operating profit at $699 million for 2006, higher than the $615 million in adjusted operating profit reported in 2005.
In the United States alone, LexisNexis saw $2.077 billion in revenue, higher than the $1.931 billion in U.S. revenue reported in 2005.
In international revenue, the company reported $812 million in 2006, again higher than the $737 million reported in 2005.
LexisNexis, a provider of data storage and information services, has about 3,000 employees in the Dayton area and 13,000 worldwide.
Reed Elsevier reported its revenue as up 4 percent to 5.398 billion pounds. That number amounts to $9.32 billion in U.S. dollars, in the conversion rate at the end of 2006, according to David Kurt, a LexisNexis spokesman. That's an increase of 4 percent over 2005.
"Going into 2007, market conditions are generally favorable," said Crispin Davis, Reed Elsevier chief executive. "Our strategy is clear, the business is well focused, and we are leveraging our resources to good effect. The digital horizon is expanding, and Reed Elsevier is well placed."
