The Bellevue, Wash.-based lab will have "advanced processing and industrial strength decryption capabilities currently found in very few non-governmental labs," the company said in a statement.

The lab will offer lawyers a tool to uncover digital evidence in hard-to-access locations, recover lost data, protect and assess documents and more.

LexisNexis has about 13,000 employees worldwide, 9,000 in the United States and about 3,000 in the Dayton area.
