CareSource appoints medical director

DAYTON — CareSource Management Group, a Medicaid managed health care plan, recently appointed Dr. Craig Thiele to the position of senior medical director.
Before joining CareSource, Thiele served as senior director of clinical affairs for Health Solutions Group, UnitedHealth Group. Prior to that, he served as national medical executive for Optum. He practiced medicine in the Dayton area for more than 10 years as an internal medicine specialist and hospitalist as well as serving in medical director roles for an intermediate care facility for the developmentally impaired and Warren County's MRDD program.

Thiele received his clinical training at the Wright State University School of Medicine, where he also completed his residency in internal medicine. He received his bachelor's degree from Miami University.
